Psychological Assessments
Southside Psychology WA is a boutique private Psychological Assessment practice that specialises in offering a range of assessments across the lifespan. We are passionate about offering gold standard assessments and specialises in Cognitive Assessments, Giftedness Assessments, Intellectual Disability Assessments , Language Development Centre Assessments and Specific Learning Disability Assessments (in maths, reading and writing (previously referred to as dyslexia/dyscalculia/dysgraphia). We also offer ADHD Assessments for children up to 16 years of age. These assessments are helpful in informing funding requirements, assessing a child’s eligibility for certain education streams and better to understand an individual's unique learning profile and subsequent curriculum or workplace adaptions.

Rebecca Lewien (née McCutcheon)
PSYCHOLOGIST
MPsych, GradDipPsych, BPysch, MAAPI
Rebecca is an AHPRA endorsed Psychologist specialising in working with individuals from neurodiverse backgrounds and administering gold standard Psychological assessments.
Rebecca has a special interest in assisting children, teenagers and adults understand their unique learning profile so they can reach their potential and secure the support they need to do so. Rebecca is passionate about working with individuals to gain the support they need at school, in their workplace and through government funding schemes such as the NDIS and facilitating placement in specific educational settings appropriate to their needs (such as Language Development Centres or Extension/Gifted programs).
Graduating from Murdoch University with Masters in Psychology in 2016, Rebecca has pursued her passion in working with children and adults in both the education and disability sector. Rebecca has worked across child and adult services in both the disability and mental health field, early intervention and positive behaviour support where she worked closely with individuals with complex behaviour. Rebecca has also worked as a School Psychologist where she specialised in assessing children with additional needs and supporting schools and families to work on curriculum and environmental adaptions to ensure the child was best placed to meet their learning potential. Rebecca spent a number of years working in the Northern Territory providing therapy and assessment services to clients in regional areas and very remote communities. In recent years, Rebecca has further developed her Psychological Assessment skills in a private practice setting in which she has assisted clients in accessing supports in the education and community sector.
Joanne Hills
PSYCHOLOGIST
BPsych(Honours), GradDipEd(Psych), BCom, BBA, MAAPi
Jo is an AHPRA Registered Psychologist who specialises in working with individuals with ADHD, ASD, Specific Learning Disorders (SLD) and Intellectual Disability and is passionate about providing comprehensive Psycho-educational assessments. With a background in School Psychology, Jo has worked with countless students and families to assist them to navigate the diagnostic process and attain the funding and support they require through both the Education and the NDIS system. Jo has also worked as a Positive Behaviour Support practitioner working with children and families with complex needs and has extensive experience working in the disability sector. Jo is currently completing her PHD in Psychology whilst working concurrently as a School Psychologist and in private practice in her assessment role at Southside Psychology.
